Nicaragua is home to countless lagoons, lakes and a chain of mountains with steaming lava fields. The plains are covered in rainforests and the highlands are home to high-quality coffee bean plantations. The western coastline yields monster waves for surfing; it’s also great for relaxing on the beach with a fruity beverage in hand.
Although Panama boasts the Panama Canal, which connects the Pacific Ocean to the Caribbean Sea, this modern city also has great beaches, divine cuisine, and rainforests for exploring. Panama has 15 national parks and 10 wildlife sanctuaries that are teeming with exotic wildlife. The country is largely untouched by tourists although the industry is picking up. Where else can you swim in two oceans in the same afternoon?
