The Town

The town of Vail, Colorado sits at the base of Vail Mountain within the White River National Forest. The picturesque town offers a variety of winter sports, most notably skiing and snowboarding. Vail Ski Resort includes seven bowls and is the biggest single mountain ski resort in the country. 

Off mountain activities include over 100 restaurants and nightclubs, speciality shops and art galleries. Vail Village is known for its out door concerts, ice skating rinks and active night life. 

An extensive free shuttle bus system is available for easy access to all that Vail has to offer. 

Vail is a great mountain for all skill levels but it does have a large number of advances/expert runs. It has 5,289 total acres of skiable terrain with a summit elevation of 11,570 feet.
